Lawcover - Why we do this

What drives us

Lawcover was invented by a Solicitor specialising in personal injury claims and practising in South Devon. Over the last five years the personal injury departments of many law firms throughout the UK have been gradually shrinking as dominant insurance companies seek to control the market.

50% of Motor Accident claims in the UK are dealt with by only 2 Law Firms, both of which are appointed by the major UK insurers. It is estimated that 75% of all motor claims are dealt with by less than 10 firms in the UK.

So, Lawcover's desire is to eliminate the stranglehold that UK insurers have sought to impose.

We want to appoint Solicitors on the Lawcover panel to act for injured persons and therefore fairly distribute the work amongst personal injury specialists rather than factory operations.

We believe our skills are being dummed down and that the specialisms required are being dismissed by the big coporates.

Literally daily, we see visitors to the Lawanswers site saying "I have been advised by my Insurer appointed solicitor to accept 50/50....." or "I have been told to accept £x is this enough ?".

Client's of our panel would never feel the need to seek advice elsewhere. They are represented by a named individual who they can contact. We do not allow panel solicitors to pressure clients to settle claims. We will always fight for the right result and will not compromise. That is what the lawyers role should be.

We believe we can make a difference. Tell everyone you know to get their policy now so that we can be there when an accident occurs.
