Seat Replacement - Terms and Conditions

Sets out terms and restrictions on replacement seat offer.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions apply under the terms of the Lawcover replacement child car seat plan ;

  • Replacement seats can only be provided to policyholders involved in an accident who have instructed one of the Lawanswers panel of Solicitors to pursue a personal injury claim on their or their children’s behalf.
  •

  • The accident must be the fault of a third party unless the policyholder is at fault and injuries are caused to a passenger who is pursuing a claim.
  •

  • All claims on policy must be made direct to Lawanswers using the claim line number on the policy.

  • When making a claim under the policy the policyholder must be able to provide the make and model number of the seat being replaced and if required, a photograph of the old seat in case this is required as evidence to be presented to the Defendant insurers. The Policyholder should specify if the seat being replaced is an isofix seat.

  • Replacement seats will be of a similar standard to the seat being replaced and cannot exceed the specification of the replaced seat.
  •

  • Replacements can only be offered from stock held by the appointed provider.
  •

  • The invoice for replacement seats will be sent to the policyholder and paid on the policyholders behalf by Lawanswers or one of the Lawanswers group of companies or one of the Lawanswers panel of Solicitors. By using this service the policyholder accepts and agrees that any party paying the invoice on the policyholders behalf shall be entitled to enforce any rights or remedies or obtain relief or indemnity to which the policyholder is entitled, by virtue of a right of subrogation.
  •

  • The maximum amount which can be paid is £200. If the policyholder wishes to replace a seat of higher value the policyholder must pay the amount over and above £200 whereupon Lawanswers will seek to recover the additional amount.
  •

Only one seat per customer can be provided although the cost of other seats will be recovered on the policyholders behalf
