Is it an offence not to have airbags?

by conrad — last modified 2007-04-26 12:43

What are the legalities of regarding car airbags. We have recently found out that our car has no driver's airbag as it was triggered previously. What is the law in relation to not having airbags and is this an offence.

Airbags are not a legal requirement in vehicles and are designed to provide additional protection, although it would be wise for you to have it replaced for your own safety at the earliest possible opportunity.
