Liability for hitting car parked on yellow lines in a car park
I reversed into the side of a car which was parked on double yellow lines in a car park. The damage is minimal and I have left my details, I am liable?. I have also taken photos of the car in question
Yes you are liable although there may arguably be some contributory negligence on the part of the third partyfor parking illegally if they blocked you in. You were correct to leave your details as failure to do so could have opened you up to a "leaving the scene" charge.
Minor shunts such as this can often be dealt with inexpensively by the latest accident repair techniques. Try searching for PAINTLESS DENT REPAIRS or SMART REPAIRS as a cheaper option for removing the dent.
